Pretty sure it's just the angle, having had a good gander it seems OK, I didn't notice anything when it was disassembled either.
I think the lever position can be explained by the fact that it is a bit small :(
dbr - My Gazelle was touched up by somebody, very badly! let me know if you find anything good

MacReayd - Will do.
I don't mind rust spots, I just don't want it to go deeper. Maybe some Glitter paint...

MacReady that is LUSH! What are the rims/tyres?
Same groupo as mine too, how you finding it?

that gazelle's fork is bent. I'd almost bet my life on it. it's not "the angle" of the photo. it should be parallel to the head tube and it isn't.

Thanks. Honestly, the rims are Wolber T410's laced to 600 hubs, the tyres are just cheap Michelin Lithion jobbys.
I got the 600 group (minus headset) w/ chain + wheels for £70. Bargain!
Haven't got it sorted to ride yet, I'm going to accept defeat and take it to the LBS tomorrow to get it set up properly!

[QUOTE=MacReady;1441548]My budget Gazelle AB with Shimano 600, thrown together to get an idea. Need tape/chain/cables/casing/proper brake bolt/adjusting. Not sure I actually like it though...
what are the bars if you don't mind me asking! its looks sweet by the way...

I'm fixing up a '77 champion mondial, awesome paint job, but a bit beaten up. Anyone know a good way to stop rust in small areas, while not respraying the whole thing?
i think http://defietsenmaker.nl/ sells Gazelle touch up paint but its not listed on the site, you could mail and ask
