• Names of riders on top tube: this was not painted, neither stickers.
It was done before clearcoating, with rub-off letters from a bookstore. Clearcoated afterwards. I think it was + DFL 25.- for normal consumers. More or less standard for amateur and pro team bikes.

Number under brake bridge: this should be the frame size.
Butterfly (plate) brake bridge had 2 numbers:

    • OLD rear wheel (120, 125)
    • Frame size c-t-t
Cinelli brake bridge (tube with square piece in centre): just frame size on the bottom. No guarantee that all frame have this.

Wishbone seat stays: same as Cinelli brake bridge. Some frames may have the frame size there. Some frames have no number at that spot.

Has nothing to do with fake or real.
Basically every real Gazelle has a frame number and a Gazelle name below BB-shell, except some very early models maybe.

About Theunisse: oficially, his name is GEERT Jan Thenisse.
But because he doesn't like it, he uses the name GERT Jan Theunisse.

More or less the same for Van Poppel (ex-Gazelle rider, Skil, PDM, Kwantum, etc..., now Directeur Sprotif Cervelo team). His real name is not JEAN Paul, but JAN Paul...
