  • The red one seems smaller than the black one. How big are you?

Neither of those haz pedals, they're rubbish.
Buy a bike with pedals, it's fundamental.

Valid points, but coz the red one iz smaller, its blatantly lighter and obv red is faster anywayz at da end of da day, get me?

  • Can anyone comment on the difference between these two bikes, apart from color scheme and handle bars....

    • The Font used to write lamester is different
    • The big black one haz Spacialized written on the TT
    • Black cables/White cables
    • Different saddles, but both black
    • Everything else is the exact same[strike]shite[/strike]

  • Red will look good when doing mad skidz

  • The steel is really pretty. the aluminium is butt ugly. simples.

  • ^true dat

    definitely.

  • Red. Every time.

  • I have the langster aluminium (in monaco paint job), and my mate has the langster steel.

The main difference is the frame, the steel is a lot heavier, but a nicer shape imo. Apart from the obvious differences like the saddle the components are pretty much identical.

The hubs are shit though, you will probably expect to have to replace them at some point, depending on how much you ride it, and in what conditions.

  • theres been a lot of stuff on here about all langster hubs being shit

  • this is the third thread this has been asked in.

Can you link that thread in that case? I searched and found threads on either Langster or Langster steel but no information on which one is a better model.

    Thanks for the input :)

  • taking the piss

  • oh FFS

  • Jen Jen.

I'll says it again, tell your brother to go to Evans or similar bike shop, test ride any of the single speed bicycle on offer (langster, mongoose, charge etc.), then ask him which he like of all the bike he tried.

No point in choosing a bike for him when you don't know whether he'll like it or not, bicycle are always a personal preference, what one like, the other may not.

  • Agree.

  • buy a steamroller.

  • Buy a tractor

  • In Russia, tractor buy you.

  • Do you work in Marketing or something? Sounds like you're on the Create/Unipack project with these questions...

  • Oh for fuck sake.

again, tell your brother to go to a bike shop, try them out, and then decided which one he want!

  • Langster steel really needs some brake hoods. Otherwise its pretty good for an OTP.

Whatever happened to the Polished Langster? They looked the best of the Alu ones by far. Not seen any for sale for a while.

  • Aluminium one has Carbon Forks, Ahead setup, pannier bolts, drop brake levers and is lighter.

All reasons which I would choose the aluminium langster.

  • Oh for fuck sake.

    Classic

  • this is brilliant. I want to live in this thread forever and ever.
