    Yes I figured that out, I've been racing on inline skates before so same sort of idea as pace lining, except that you're at least 1 wheel away from the next guy (hence small wheel tucked in.

    In case you're wondering I've only started to get interest in track racing this year. It might be dead obvious to you but it's quite intriguing to me.
