What's the point of the tandem? It doesn't pack smaller than a normal tandem, it doesn't provide any extra leg length adjustment, setback adjustment is adequate on normal bikes by choosing the right seat post, and reach adjustment on tandems is handled by stoker stem changes, including telescopic ones (as fitted) if you need to adjust for different riders from day to day. I just can't see any reason for the rear seat to be mounted on that cantilever beam, and worse it looks circular in cross section so any off axis load is going to send the saddle off to the side unless the clamping force is huge. Wrong on so many levels that I really would like to hear the owner/builder's justification.
I wish I could have been *rsed to lay my thought pattern out so clearly regarding the tandem... I instead opted for "FAIL".
