i've always wanted to get "may contain nuts" on my scrotum. but pain factor.

Hmmm, I'm looking at something considerably larger and placed in the arch, the artist is accounting for the ink fall out so is going to be hand-poking the design deep into my foot (Basically blowing the design out slightly).
I should expect to take the day after off from polo then.

may sound odd but... I have alot of friends with tattooed dicks and scrotums and none seem to complain about it, I've watched 3 get done and there was no flinching at all.
I think the only pain is itchness as it scabs. -

noo bobby bob bob did them,
How was the tattoo near the armpit. My mate got one of those which wrap around the arm and he said the armpit bit hurts like a biatch
teh pit is a bitch, but not the worst i've had, i can only say that bit of ribs was 'sharp' pain, not the normal dull pain
if you get me

The tattooist who was due to tattoo the sole of my foot has had to cancel owing to her new employers (Who do not wish her to do any tattooing until she has moved in to their studio).
I now need to go to Edinburgh if I want the work done by her.
Looks like I'll be going back to Adam Sage to get the work done.

Adam's a super nice guy. Tattooed my girlfriend at the last Brighton convention and has done tons of work on my old flatmate.
Getting back up to London tomorrow to have some shading finished off by Duncan X. Can't wait.

Diago - this brazilian kid works out of FMT is amazing, i went through his japanese line work last week. and you can get seen on the day. he has only been over here for about 3 weeks.
well worth a visit, the detail on mine is amazingDiegos work is amazing - he pretty much exclusively does japanese work as well , so it's what he does pretty much day in, day out, 365 days a year. not gonna get much more experience than that - plus he's been over to japan and the states to get work from the legendary japanese guys. he's got a studio in Leeds but i know he guests down in London.

What you having done & is it front or back? I'm not the slightest bit squeamish, but when I had the front of mine done I was deadly silent. Cool place to have work done though.

On the back, left arm, got a bit of space left there. Probably gonna go for a sugar skull, not 100% yet

Better than tribal but only just.I accept Japanese work is very popular at the moment, but find it impossible to compare it to tribal. when you look at the majority of tribal work, excluding Polynesian tribal, it really is very limited in terms of design, creativity and inspiration. With well done Japanese work you have a truly individual piece that will age well and you know is one of a kind. with most tribal designs you have a black squiggle, often taken from a book.
Fashions will come and go but I think there will always be fans of Japanese work, just like with new / old school styles. The main difference these days is the rise in popularity and the change in demographic of people getting tattooed. People that are more aware of what they want, and more aware of what is possible with a tattoo machine.
photo on its way. It was just a little freebie though so nothing special.
Yeah it was ok, bit of an initial shock as I wasnt sure how it was going to feel but after that it wasnt too bad.
Like lileth was saying though I dont think itll stay if its anywhere but the middle arch part.
Hope mine rubs off.
