I can understand your pride. I would feel the same way if I supported a team who's success was bought on the proceeds of gangsterism and murder, owned by a man who's wealth derives entirely from fraud and theft, money taken from ordinary Russians by mafia posing as entrepreneurs, a political lickspittle who helped ensure that his country would become corrupt and venal. I can well understand your pride Clive. My only hope is that Robert Mugabe, Rupert Murdoch and Ian Huntley will put together a bid for Wigan Athletic and I can join you on the sunny uplands of victory-at-any-price.
oof!

After last night it is clear that Carrick needs to be put down. If Harry buys him this summer it will be a real set back.
Walcott was useless and may have been ok had he stayed on his feet for longer than 30 seconds. The same for Gerard.
Croch did well to not get noticed being off side and hand balling for his goal.
Deadly Leadly got a good goal but looked a little shaky in the first half. Although the defence in whole looked much better when Ferdinand went off for Carragher leading me to beleve that Rio is the problem and not King.
If Cappelo even considers that midfeild to start in SA then we wont make it out of the group stage. Carrick, Gerard, Milner and Walcot were compleatly dominated (putting preasure on the back four).
That was a little long winded.

I think if Wenger played him up front he would make a good striker. He is useless on the wing though. Lots of running and falling over but nother else. At least Lennon can cross the ball.

friendlies are kinda pointless but i actually enjoyed the game as was nice to see mexico play. 3-1 was a very harsh scoreline.

Yeah it was funny seeing Gerrard telling his fellow England players to up their games yesterday (before the match). He's not performed in the white shirt for YEARS!

Seriously though, £20m?? If they paid £24m for Lescott it's gonna take atleast £35m for Moyes to even pick-up the phone.
Besides, Arteta has ambition
Germany (with Ballack) still = 0
