Kilograms, please - not some colonial measure and weight units.
...then do the unit conversion if you're so inclined.

omfg.

I really don't want to know my weight. But thanks.

But I've realised that you (mmccarthy) and MrSmyth appear recently to have become siamese-bonded, so there is no point discussing this.
It would fall on oak ears.Considering the only other time I can remember us directly replying to each other is in the MTB thread where we completely disagreed with each other, it would seem you're wrong on that.

Er... does it actually matter?
I mean, if a thread gets duplicated, or something asked twice, why does it actually bother anyone? If the point is that you think it is lazy to not look for answers first, then don't respond.
There seems to be such a massive trend towards bollocking people for starting threads, yet starting threads is sort of the point of a forum, surely...

He's so inclined we call him Eileen.

Fuck. Should I have UTFS first to see if the point was covered elsewhere?
-
• #35
Sorry, that was sarcasm =P

Yes!

Well I don't know about you, but having a thread for each thought, seems to defeat the purpose of discussing one thing, or closely related things, in one thread. Technically, we could start a new thread for every reply.
I don't totally agree with merging, but it seems that its the only way to force some to take part in a discussion that they actually wanted to inform about, or to be informed about.
Better 20 people discuss something in one thread, than 20 people start 1 thread each about the same topic. You may disagree though. I prostrate myself before your seniority on this forum. ;)

It makes it harder for others to find the right info when UTFS. Less threads with more info in them is a much greater asset to the forum and potential fixie skidder wannabes.

+1
Shame that he could not restrain himself, and felt there was no need for restraint in general.
I know VB's inbox was blue with Paul-Michel's parting shots...and P-M seemed to think he could be critical about women, in an unconstructive way, and there should be no consequences. But despite his uber-enthusiasm, and rather higher intellect, he's not one who likes any type of restriction. And social restrictions are their for all of us, but he didn't see it that way.

To be honest I wasn't aware of Paul-Michels attitude to women, I just thought he started lots of stupid threads and sent in pictures of himself riding his bike indoors.

Pics of the rims please.*
*like that's going to happen.

Ha! I didn't realise I had any seniority, but cheers!

I wouldn't want to put anyone off being a fixie skidder wannabe. Far from it!
I agree with both of you insofar as saying that keeping threads compiled is worthwhile. My point is maybe more just that the level of bollocking is a bit of an overreaction?
And for a topic like this, well, the title is so specific that if someone was trying to search for something, if would be pretty clear to see what is actually here, and I can't really see how they could get that badly derailed. In fact, if you search for rim rigidity, this is the only result... badly title threads is more of an issue as then the titles can't be used as a decent reference point.
If we took the alternative (keeping everything on existing threads where possible) to the extreme, we end up with stupidly long threads, which is equally useless and even harder to search...
What probably does actually make it harder to find real info about topics is where threads get sidetracked by a discussion like this (for which I am as guilty as anyone), as all this shit has to be scrolled through to get to anything useful... ah, the irony

I think we should have a forum vote-off.
This is where we could vote off someone due to their lack of understanding of the forum, and replace them with someone who is already banned.
Bring back Paul-Michel/Furtwangler, and let's get shot of this c*unting muppet. (Not you eastend.)
To be honest, I'd rather have to deal with Torpid Construct, OOL or Paul-Michel, rather than regularly find deeply dismal posts from a certain someone. Also, why this person feels the need to post any old shit, and create a brand new effing thread for it, is beyond me. I will have to talk to Jesus about this matter.
The dimwitted moron can't even see the tactical use of entering a new post in an older but related thread. Witness how coppiThat created extra mileage in a rather below-the-radar post of mine, where I pondered to whence Google had flown.
I'm feeling like being a narcky c*nt at the moment, and I'm hoping someone will take a nibble.
Have some fucking balls and some fucking integrity and use his name. You of all people Ashe should not be indulging in this cowardly fucking shit. The treatment Lynx gets on here day after day is sick making and a stain on the whole forum. It's pathetic, vindictive and tedious.

All you haterz keep on hating...elsewhere. Let' try and be a bit better than that bullshit.
