What I was suggesting (teams take no points) was what we did against Moving Target last year. We were so desperate to play them that we waited 2 hours in a dodgy estate in Bow. They never showed despite repeatedly saying they were on their way. There's no way we wanted our first league points to be won that way.

Its obvious we havent stuck to all the rules - if we had we wouldnt be a few months behind (and james brown would still be returning to the D after he scores). So i think enforcing Emmets team take a 3 point forfeit despite him begging to play seems very harsh! Lets hope he can play on Sat am.

If the ref hadn't noticed someone not returning to D post-goal, that's the ref's problem, and totally separate from this discussion.

The rules state, that if a team shows, and the other doesn't they can take a forfeit, but yes, no-one has taken one this year.

1. In the case of the forfeit, the team present gets 3 points and 3 goals (this assumes 1-0 in three games).
   

I expect rupert will post something about NS taking the only forfeit last league, go ahead. I don't really care. I've put a hell of a lot of time in, chased endless late fixtures that were long forgotten.

I don't run it, I didn't write the rules, and I don't really care for trying to change them 24 hours before the league finishes.

The teams who haven't played can work out tomorrow what they want their scores to be, 0-0, 3-0, 0-3, or whatever. And I will update the scores with whatever they agree on.

The clever approach would be for the home team to set the date/time of a fixture before the end of the league (tomorrow), then use this rule:

• No-show counts as a forfeit (unless you can rearrange before end of league).

So next league all you have to do if you are a struggling team is play your home games and not quite be able to make it your away games and you are sorted for the top half rankings.

To do it would be dickish.
