Of course it's a 52cm, look at it!
-
• #28803
how much?
Don't think it's gonna fit you Snoopert
-
• #28804
£200, and it pretty much brand new apart from the slight mark on the drop out from the bolt.
my current bike is a 56cm but from appearance it look more like a 54cm due to it's low BB,
As for it being obvious that it's a 52cm frame, it wasn't so to me as I've seen a 54cm one and it look almost identical on the headtube part (give or take a cm), a shame really, I was eager to use the redundant Nexus 8 speed rear wheel and the white industries crankset I have ready for a bike that got stolen eventually.
54cm Crosscheck;

£200?
So you didn't get a good deal then.
-
• #28806
For a complete frameset including the BB, headset and stem? frankly i think it's a good deal for a frame that only been ridden 6 time.
-
• #28807
Yeah I tell sizes apart from headtube size, too... Most of the time...
You can see the difference. ;-)

@ eddie - nice casati.

£200?

not really, he can't use the stem either, unless it's gonna be a sit-up-and-beg

Nice!
Been waiting to finish this for a while. Thanks to Arup for building the rear wheel, am very pleased my wheels now match! Got the bars and positioning nicely dialled in, its a beaut to ride.
Cheers dude. Been wanting to finish it off with a Phil rear and Sugino 75s for ages. Got its first proper test this morning - setup rawks!!!

Still need a bit of work.. mostly it needs a service though, new cassette, new 32t chainring, and a new chain to go with them..

• #28812
Turn out it's too small, seller claim it's 54cm but it's actually 52cm, gah! It's up for grab again.
I'm confused, is the 52cm version the one with the 54.71cm effective top tube? I hate when companies use pointless seat tube measurements to size bikes.
I want to build one up into to a monstercross bike, but I think a 52cm is one is a size too big, shame.

omg I WANT THAT GT EDGE, titanium rules. I rode one just like that this past weekend! had full DA 7700, such a nice ride.
quoted for awesomeness:
http://www.sellutionmtb.com/images/large/gtedge1.jpgI just put this beast together a few weeks ago. need to adjust some things after its first ride (stem, bars, steerer, saddle) but damn the ride is amazing. also I ditched the Shamals for Campy Record to Open Pros, much better indeed.
Nice. What size is that chainring?

Skully, I saw your frame naked!
I did Dave's course a couple of weeks ago and it was the frame he was working on when we got into the workshop every morning and he demonstrated a couple of things on it (we never touched it though, don't worry). It looks so, so good!!
I'm sitting here waiting for my course frame to pop through the door - it's "out for delivery" right now.

jesus titty fucking christ Wilderness!
that is going to be ridiculous, though you've put on a few pounds since I last saw you. -

Cheers Murts.
@aufbruch
cool! Hope you had a good time. One of the guys there this week is a partical physicist who's working on the Hadron Collider. Dave was well impressed with that. He's a pretty salty dude isn't he? I like him. Did he show you the gun he made himself?!
@H
yeah I been eating my pies like a good boy. -

If you set it up with an flared off-road drop like the on-one midge it'll probably fit OK. They're designed for low saddles (big frames) and a short high rise stem so you can ride in the drops almost all the time.

Hah yes - he has range calculations all over the wall of the workshop. He also makes very impressive knives.
Such a good guy and knows an incredible amount about a huge number of things. Watching him work is inspiring (quality) and terrifying (speed).
We went for the same sort of fades! Mine's 2 blues through to silver. Come on parcelforce!
-
• #28821
Oh yeah, he mentioned your colourscheme to me when we were discussing fades yesterday.
-
• #28822
Ominous.
-
• #28823
Ha! No not at all. He was just saying that fades are easy with colours that are similar, like mine, and your two blues, presumably, but harder to get neat with a lot of contrast. I'm sure it'll be lovely. I've got a frame that has black oversprays on silver, looks tasty.

The 54cm one have a 56cm top tube which is more fitting than the 54.71cm top tube of the 52cm one, although with the 54.71cm TT I can use a 110mm stem with brake hood, but it's still going to be way too small (seat tube wise).
And pray tell why £200 isn't a good deal? (not aimed at you konijn).
Skully, your road fixed look fantastic!
how much?
