Continuing from my story yesterday about my brother and his adventure.
Imagine nearly 400km across the italian alps, beautiful mountain roads, blazing sunshine, with the odd snowstorm at a peak or two. Perfect. Now imagine a 14kg bag on your back. And a bike without a functioning back brake. And a faulty RD which won't shift to the two biggest cogs. And a ridiculous bar and seat angle:
