Yeah that was me, on my way home from work in the library.

I stand corrected (said the man in the orthopedic shoes). What I can definitely say for sure is that there was some form of handlebars on the bike.

was riding down the hill down moor street this morning away from the bullring and had a bus driver pull out across both lanes, when i rode up to his window to hurl abuse at him he beat me to it, called me a cunt and after i told him im reporting him he gave me more abuse and then spat at me! Fucking lovely bloke! Had witnesses but dont know if its even worth reporting as nothing will probably happen of it

Something will happen if you report it, just remember to do it. Have you got the route number, plate number and time?
If so, make sure you phone them.

hey all..i had a really shit accident today and fucked my face up..a car pulled out on me on kings heath high street and hit me..got loads of stitches in my face and cuts and bruises but im cool..just made me wanna warn you guys to be careful..what happened today has made me really think...i dont know when im gonna get back on my bike...making me cringe thinking about it

That's shit.
There's only so much you can do to be careful though. If someone else pulls out on you, sometimes no amount of being careful will save you.
Just remember you're not the only one who's been mashed up, I've been hit twice (once on purpose!), aeronaught and hyper_allah has been hit, and I think DFP and pistaboy have too. I know the shaken up feeling of being hit can be worse than any physical injuries you may sustain. I really wanted to quit cycling too, after I got hit. It can take a long time to get your confidence back.
I hope you feel better soon and get back on your bike ASAP - it would be a shame for someone else's mistake / incompetence to stop you from doing something you enjoy.

Heal-TFU mate, I'm sure you'll feel it this morning.
As for getting back on the bike, just don't do it on your own, where you mind will fuck with you. Get a group together, get on, and just ride.... your mind won't wander... -

There's nothing qrong with your riding, in fact, if a car has pulled out on you and your still alive thats testament to the fact that you must be doing something right. It always takes a few weeks to get back up to speed after you come off, just take your time.
In other news - saw a nice orange bike being wheeled down newhall street yesterday, maybe a ciocc?

get well soon dude. from what you said (and interpreting from a message board) sounds like trauma, which is completely natural response to the accident.
like others have said, take your time, heal up physically and mentally, and when you're ready maybe try riding in steps i.e.
riding on the footpath or park
to riding on the road on quieter roads with friends
etc, etc til you feel your full confidence is backthat is of course if you decide to ride again. good luck.

I'm only 15 so I've only being going for a year - on my second season now - so the name doesn't ring a bell, sorry dude!
*when? *i completed the course months ago and have a certificate to prove it. i may not be the most qualified or experienced fitter, but i also don't work from covent garden and charge £100 ph.
pricing is flexible at the moment - i'll sort something out with you directly. we're using it as a sales-incentive thing so anyone who buys a 1k bike gets on free or freeish. we're setting up a proper fitting area soon which will professionalise things a bit more.
