Yeah you can even micro-adjust the diameter by tightening and loosening the bolts on each 'rib'. Ideal for butts of all sizes.

I have a Thomson seat collar on my MTB and I must concur, it is sweet.

From the shop where I work/worked. It was an early batch from a Jim Walker rep who was visiting the shop.

Regarding the machining marks on normal Thomsons, yeah. Actually I think you can't see them on Masterpieces? But that one in the picture is an Elite... Hmm...

Salsa clamps and QR levers etc are awesome.

Depends on the build. Those cheap M-Part Threadsaver ones are perfect for almost everything, but I've got a weight weenie Token one on my Look.

I'm not convinced by this... I have to tighten my thomson a lot less than my old clamp, which was like the one you linked to.

Maybe in theory it's not as good, but in practice they've done something right!
