The point is that most people voted liberal and conservative and they believe they've found a policy compromise.
Obviously it's judgement call on number of seats and policy. Obviously lab/con would be biggest, but they could never marry their policies.
The problem I have is that while liberal and tory vote makes majority, a lib/con pact isn't what was voted for. I will find it very hard to vote liberal again, I only did so to keep zac goldsmith out.
