Cheers skunkworks and blake.. very much appreciated! I like the overall look / geometry of the bike, not sure I'd automatically choose the mixed black & white tires / rims, but certainly not offended by them either.
My issue is I'm looking at budget bikes which I'll probably end up changing components like handlebars straight away, not just because of quality, but personal preference. Like the Fuji Track for example - frame looks solid but I'll be putting risers and front brake on anyway, so seems to make sense to start of with a bike that has them, like the Brougham.
To be honest, the more I think about the changes I'll be making from the off, the more I think building my own from scratch makes sense. There is that fear factor of f*cking it up, but hand picking components and getting my hands dirty defo appeals. Anyone know a good bike build book / video / website? Actually, scratch that, I'll head over to a 'build' thread before I get shouted at... cheers again folks!
