  • ^6pt put in an awesome performance on kent 1 last year. 300 gear inches or something. exedown awaits.

good stuff from tim about safety ls & gs. these lanes are a lot more narrow and the route has a lot more honesty about it.

I got hit by a van (landed on my teeth, hence the ongoing dental work), spent two months off the bike and then on my first real ride back in the saddle almost got up Exedown on 84 inches after bombing it home from work to get to St Mary Cray in time. I'd hope that's enough of an effort.

I did a five hour turbo session on Sunday and I'm feeling a bit fragile, so my original plan was to get the train in to work, get the train home, dump stuff, pick up the geared bike and pootle on over.
The long forgotten dentist appointment has scuppered this, leaving the only option to be to cycle in to work, go to dentist, get out of dentist, bomb it to St Mary Cray, arrive knackered, and then be defeated by Exedown. again. I really don't want to be defeated by it again. Though come to think of it, I could just get to Victoria and get the train out. That makes much more sense, timing would be tight though. I'll put some money on my oyster on the way in tomorrow and play it by ear on the night, but the lights are on charge of any indication of optimism was required.

Totally overdetailed reply there, which you really don't have to read.
