If it weren't for UKIP, the conservatives probably would have a majority of seats in the commons. If the conservatives were more overtly eurosceptic in their campaign, instead of trying to appeal to disaffected new labour voters, and had promised a referendum on the Lisbon treaty, i reckon they would have had a majority.
