phils or dura ace im thinking,
Open Pro CD on Phil is going to be same money as Ellipse. Different wheels for different purposes, I'd take the Ellipse for racing (in fact I've been racing on mine for 6 seasons) and the Open Pro for general riding (and I've had a pair of Open Pro CD on Goldtec for about the same time)

They aren't. They're also using small cogs so the GI shouldn't be too small.
I was meaning this:
Then I noticed it was a fixed gear hillclimb bike??
71 is a bit weak for a bike that light (12lbs) though

the website says he running 39/14 which is a pretty good 72 inches, it just looks a bit silly.
although it also says he's planning to drop down to 39/11 which one would hope is not his road gear, seeing as he's brakeless at 92inches
A bigger gear will be OK as I'm sure he'll be using it on the tra - Hahaha, sorry I couldn't finish the sentence.

fixed gear hillclimb bike??
Two question marks suggests that you're unfamiliar with the idea of riding fixed for hill climbs. For your edification, here are Jim's bikes http://website.lineone.net/~jim.henderson/cycling/bikes/bikes.html

Nobody had float until the first Look Arc cleats in the 1980s. Somehow we all managed.

actually a lot of people damaged their knees/ankles, but i get your point. I just couldn't go back to no float.
Interesting, the Rossin frame is missing the non drive side crank bolt cap
