finally found most of the parts needed to build up my used mercian vigorelli...
panaracer paselas... of course... (on advice from Mr. C & reading Ed's posts) on silver mavic open pros laced to suzue promax sb. They have a special place in my heart since I used them on my first ever wheelset, which got destroyed when I was hit by a car.
Not sure about handlebars yet, either going for bullhorns or some raleigh northroad type bars, like ones ed posted a few hundred pages back (which appear as one of the top results when googling raleigh north road.. haha).
well excited!
what model of brooks seat is this? havent seen one with the holes before. will be an awsome bike once one! -
• #27829
The ones with the lace holes are an edition of the B17. The top looks textured, which is even more unusual.

B17 Aged.
I assumed 'Aged' referred to the textured surface rather than being actually 'aged'?

In all seriousness DJ, I can imaging that the white brooks look nice on your titanium bike.

Lovely Zeus and Benotto.
That's the right head tube sticker on the Benotto? Thanks!!! though that track bike was sooo fine!! I'm clearing the decks after these start to go I want something i have been after for ages
I was told thats the right head tube....however almost all the ones I ehave seen hd the big benotto script...though they have been lower models...ie 850,1500,2000.
and to be perfectly honest I wanted the big script, I find it far more pleasing than the shield...so was expecting to get a big script..though the decals came like that...
and the zeus I cant wait...they is an aussie company have the right ones on a mirrored vinyl with are like hens teeth, just need brakes to finish...saw some though they just had a dodgy screen print I wanted somwthing stamped.

The old Bob Holiness 531 double butted (proper awesomeness) track frame for the missus become her new freewheel skidding beater, it's now her most favourite bike ever, even over her stolen pastel green bike;

Something completely different, and very un -fixie! The anti-dote to the pared-down singlespeed.

Someone just asked me about the wheels. Titanium-gold anodised Mavic rims with early Hope hubs.
Rest of the cycle parts are Suntour, as per factory. Brakes are Dia-Compe, also original. Bars are Humpert, grips BBS from Lock7, Carradice bags were trade samples, and the brown Franks are from Dereks Cycles Online. Mudguards home-made, and that rear lamp is from a scrapped Kronan. -

i think it looks beautiful mate! looks like true scoble porn ;) frames a real beauty! what do the tires ride like?
-
• #27846
Frame is lovely, though top tube needs tidying. It's made from 531 'all terrain' with massive clearances. Look ath the gaps, with 2.35 tyres fitted!
The tyres are luvverly. They roll nicely, and are like a magic carpet on the rough. Im looking forward to bringing it to London next week, see how it copes with the potholes! Thanks for the comments.

mate, that claud butler mtb is a pure winner! congrats!
let me ask you somthn however - is it true those fat franks weigh in at 1 kg each? bit on a heavy side innit? -
• #27848
Wooooow that is really hawt!! You did such a good job, before & after pics like the dodgy weight loss ads on the tube. Not that I would know anything about the tube... I ride a bike! Shhh

Just added these projects to my current already too many projects (The crazy LoPro and a tandem, uhm.. is that it, oh, and gears on my Tallbike :) ).
Karate Monkey, going to move parts from my current Focus 29er, that has okay parts, but a shit frame+forks, hoping to have it done by sunday so that I can take it to the singletrack in the woods.
And, I'm constructing a smiley.. Needs a few more parts for it ;)
