I run 62GI but I ride fixed (not exactly a 29er but offroad!) Any lower and it would be almost unusable/spinning out city
Where I live it is all flat flowing single track/fast fireroads and 'normal' SS gearing (low 50s) was a chore when i use to ride SS as just spent half the time coasting (not by choice)
