out of interest, why do plastic bmx pedals exist? Is it just for a budget option or is there some kind of advantage in using them for certain bmx disciplines?
I suppose they wouldnt tear up an indoor skatepark when you bail, in the same way you can't use certain pedals on an indoor velodrome...?
As Hassan said really.
people are doing a lot more pedal grinds like Luc-E's etc these days n wrecking metal pedals on a weekly basis becomes pretty expensive.
the strength of them is still pretty decent, and the weight is a lot less than metal pedals.
Ody have just bought out these though which are awesome in my eyes http://www.alansbmx.com/product_info.php?cPath=32_33&products_id=9073&osCsid=44f32714cfaf8fecc73b6d5ccc4f2017
grippyness of metal pedals. slidability of plastics along with weight and no bearings to fuck up, which is the downfall of most plastics
