I would say build your own man, much more satisfying... The Iron 883 is pretty nice too though but I'd be reluctant to buy a Harley, love the Triumph too much to stray...
I'm getting my first bike in a month or two, getting something from the Police confiscated bike store, have a friend who's an officer and owes me a favour so I'll be getting whatever I want out of their confiscated stash :D Hoping I'll either find a Bonnie, CB360, RGV250 or something worth a good bit of money so I can sell it and buy something nice ;)
