It should be noted I haven't bothered with iWork for a few years either, and looking at the splash page on the microsite it looks like its come on leaps and bounds, maybe i'll give it a go sometime.
Oh, if you're writing a book, novel, thesis, may I recommend Scrivener which is bloody brilliant for big writing projects.
