  • Nitto drops, Vittoria Randonneurs, Halo Aerorages, Selle Turbo and a trip to see Scherrit. Sealed BB up next and some new pedals.

Nice house. Now there's a proper Tory. ;P

  • ... although the positioning of that entrance is a little ill-advised and rather disturbs the symmetry of the façade. I'd have the architect flogged if I were you.

    That's the side entrance.

  • So?

It's symmetrical to the opposite side entrance. If you saw the front entrance with the 50ft marble lions and fountains, it'd make much more sense.

  • Still no reason not to flog the architect for messing up the side entrances. You're too lenient with the common folk. ;)

I'll get the butler to unleash the hounds later.

  • We're getting there. :)

  • I noticed this thread is seeing some action recently. Here's the most recent photo of my Fuji:

Right now it has RX-1s and Toshi straps and the stock front wheel is back on.

  • I got rid of my Fuji Track classic. Now seriously contemplating a Track Comp. Want to run a front brake (break) though.

  • I want one of these now. Does anyone have a 58cm complete bike/ frame for sale? Dont need fork, dont care which year. PM if you got anything.

the comp can take a front brake as far as i know

  • Yeah I was having trouble finding out using google, but it turns out I was just having trouble reading. dam illiteracy.

  • Resprayed in flam blue by Bob Jackson and with an extra set of bottle bosses. Sturmey-Archer S3X hub, on which the jury is still out.

  • yeah these are nice, I really want one if anyone has a complete 54/58 one for 200/300 let me know

  • hi,

really considering getting one of these, would be primarily for street with a little track use. Anybody have any views on these i.e. comfort stiffness on city roads etc, or would this be a crime to use on the roads (dont worry wont be putting risers or anything on it :), anyway any help appreciated.

    cheers

  • had one

    very stiff, very fast

it's a fun bike, but i found I could only ride it one way. If you want to pootle along on a commute, don't buy it.

  • Ask Dammit or Hael.

I had one (from^), but it was slightly too tall for me, so can't really comment about comfort. Too fast and not versatile enough for my liking (and it wasn't drilled for brakes).

  • comfort has a lot to do with tyre choice (and size) and usually stuck with 23s on track frames but could maybe squeeze in a 25.

Can't see why it would be any worse than any other alu track frame. I have had a few and they were all fine.

  • cheers for the responses, it wouldn't really for commuting as such, I live pretty central so the longest I would do in any one stretch is probably an hour or so. And yeah thats what I was wondering. I've ridden a couple alu frames and they'v been grand, I in fact like a stiffer ride but the geometry on the bike is pretty tight would that make it even more of rough ride ???

  • Are you refering to this years Fuji Track Pro, or the Fuji Track comp, that used to be called the Pro

    this one

    or this one

  • According to the E**ns spec. the Track Pro comes with a rear brake fitted....?

Shirley biggest problem is that you could never ever leave it outside with a paint job like that... bound to attract the thiefs and vandals :-(

  • According to Velodrome.org.uk who I'm more likely to believe. They say it is not drilled front or back.

  • This years comp, which is last years pro, is drilled i believe - the new Pro is not.

The comp/old pro is fine on the road, the new pro is probably a bit extreme, but doable.
