    I was under the impression 653 is rather ancient ... more likely to be 631?

    Sorry if I am totally wrong. I'm sure there are plently of builders around with stocks of old tubes ... but you tend to see offered by builders currently, from the reynolds range, 525, 631, 725, 853 (and 853 Pro), offered as standard options.

    Actually, could be 631.... might be getting that mixed with 853... It's the stock tubing that 14 do for the Hanbury. It's really light and feels great to ride so I'm not complaining at all.
