guys, it would be sweet if everyone could make a little donation at their first check-in point. however small.
also, the badges are not free. you pay for them at your final checkpoint when you complete the ride. you will get a free certificate.
to be honest the only souvenir you will want from the day is the stamped brevet card. they are quite sweet looking. when you have signed in please keep your card somewhere safe. every year you will see one scattered somewhere along the route. and you know that means tears before bedtime.
as well as putting it somewhere safe. you might also need to keep it somewhere dry.
