do wannabe hipsters hibernate during the winter?
-
• #778
no they just get the bus
-
• #779
a. no eggs please
b. their "right" to their view should not include harassing emotional women outside abortion clinics
c. no hipsters don't hibernate but their "bikes" do. (i say "bikes" because i see a bicycle as something to ride, not push, and also something that is stoppable, whereas they have no brakes and no foot retention, thus it isn't a bike but a death trap- that is if they ever actually rode it as opposed to just posing with it) -

The best thing to do would be to find out what church they belong too, and then start weekly protests their, protesting them for not upholding some small aspect of the bible, like the fcat that women and men shouldn't touch, ro no wearing fo colours or some other bullshit. Act as if we are uber-religous and their going to burn in hell for this.
Nothing like humour to take the wind out of the sails fo bigots -

Just go round and smack the crap out of them. No counter demo, just violence against pricks.

Love the irony of throwing eggs at anti abortion protesters, but wasting eggs isn't productive. However a peaceful wall of people on bikes to show support and allow them to walk through could work.

Saw a tidy purple Leader track frame go past Subway on Oxford Road today. I'm assuming it's the one that some French guy was selling on here.

SPOTTED: Gordon Brown in Rochdale yesterday.
On my bike ride with 10 kids in Rochdale yesterday we came across a bunch of cameras and vans and satellite dishes. The kids asked the (who we later found out were) journalists what they were doing. They replied that Gordon Brown was there. One kid replied, "oh yeah, he wanted to be in our bike it crew, but we wouldn't let him". The reporter and I laughed. Then we cycled on..
oh and read this it's friggin hilarious...

Average rainfall for the Bath-Bristol area is around 800 to 900 millimetres
Manchester experiences a temperate maritime climate, like much of the British Isles, with relatively cool summers and mild winters. There is regular but generally light precipitation throughout the year. The city's average annual rainfall is 806.6 millimetres (31.76 in)[66] compared to the UK average of 1,125.0 millimetres (44.29 in),[67] and its mean rain days are 140.4 per annum,[66] compared to the UK average of 154.4.

two people neckin on pallentine road at the bus stop. i shouted "get a room". they were confused.
Spotted: loads and loads of shit single speeds and fixed gears, many Creates as well. THIS IS A GOOD THING as long as they are built up safely. (i really dont buy this whole malarkey about them magically falling to pieces - they should be fine as long as you tighten everything and grease the necessary parts) WTF is wrong with having a cheap bike that doesnt cost a huge amount, looks vaguely cool (to some people) and gets people from A - B
but yes i do like the superiority complex thing of riding past them and asking (in my head) where were YOU when it was snowing and raining all winter eh? EH?
