Let's face it, our ingenuity is wasted on them. Time to saddle up and go.

Also who was the guy from East from San Fran? I'd quite like to see some of his pictures.[/QUOTE]
I think his name was chris I rode with him for most if not the whole ride today he was on the White specialized with front red deep v's ( I was on the bianchi nirrone with a White 650 front b43 and rear black dodici ) this morning was great but doing 26odd miles on a empty stomache with the smell of fresh bread everywhere does get you wondering ..
P.s cheers for the twix!

Thanks for an awesome ride people, good pace and a classic finish up the mall. Great organisation Gerald, top flapjack Mr Gibbon and good riding with you Mashton.

I had a great morning, thanks Gerald for starting the thread & being a charming gent all round. & sorry again for misinterpreting your 'Oy!' in Wapping- would've gladly joined your company, was being a bit Dunkirk at the rear & slow on uptake. Thanks Bernie for being another gent during the last half mile in the pissdown, & very nice to meet others too in the caffs. Well done leading groups – I salute you.
Reckon with lostness / missing bits / adding bits I did a unique & special 26+ - consider this a personal win on a truly unsuitable bike ('boneshaker'- apt. Also 'fanny twatter', 'heavy shit' etc).
Going into work at 10ish was a nause but still got a glow from a lovely early morning caper in good company through mostly closed streets.
More rides. -

Being a bit strapped for cash, last month my brother took a job working in a horse yard.
This morning while mucking out he got kicked in the head by a horse. Right now he's in hospital, his condition is described as stable.

ha, i was reading that, going "fncking hell", until the end :)

It's a true story.

Shame on you for harnessing your brother to a cheap joke.

Brilliant ride. Well done for organising, and to the forum for making it such a memorable morning. -

Fucking gutted. Stopped to give someone a tube and tools to replace his punctured tyre, just couldn't find my way back to the front and spent ages getting lost. But glad i did catch some of you earlier on the ride, am now home and relatively dry (happier).
shit man was wondering where you was! just me and rich at the front but then even he disappeared somewhere behind. At the pace we were going at, if you stopped you wouldn't have made it back to the front. hope to catch you next week though man, the bridges ride and probs critical mass..

Fucking brilliant ride.
Big up the breakaway fast group. Pleasure riding with you all. So good to make it round the whole course and over the finish line.
Good navigation skills David and well done on the points race!
Big up indeed, who was you though? didn't get a chance to talk much with new faces.

I slept 2.5 hours, I woke up still drunk, I drank cider at 06:45, I was slow, my poorly shimmed bars slipped a bit, I got lost, I got shouted at by Police, I got wet, but I had a lot of fun.

A few pictures from today's epic ride;
Good times
sweet! 14 pages of comments and not one pic of me, I was about to say I needn't have bothered getting up. But here I am chowing that absurd JCB. Cheers for the photo!
Great ride apart from my saddle ass. was good on the brisk ride in from souths and breakfast with Joe, Joe, snowy, damo, and skully. breakfast and banter. Cheers!

Great ride apart from my saddle ass.
Tell me about it. I readjusted my saddle after getting new pedals, and had it angled too far up by one like 1%, but that was all it took to make my guch fucking kane after about 20 miles.

When is the next critical mass?
The rest of my repartee in a bit pony. I was hoping that there would be a few others chomping at the bit to get in on this exchange.
