As you've probably worked out by now, Max, between all the highly amusing replies elsewhere that told you yes, the serious answer is no, unless you want to learn about bikes the hard way. It's always worth buying something of better quality, as it'll give you much less trouble. Even if you don't have that much money to invest to start with, it's worth the wait. You'll only end up paying extra for additional bits on a cheaper bike. Avoid the cheap temptations.
