Strikes me that pretty much any useful to do with bikes got dealt with by mid 2008, and is filed under UTFS.
The forum is now littered with any old crap - football, cooking, East European Women's Hopscotch Leagues - whatever.
And that's fine if that's what you all want. But this will soon be dead as a useful bike forum, if it isn't already.
Having said that, I only ever bother to read the threads where the mob gang-bangs some dopey noob who pops his head over the parapet. Roll on!

I would have to disagree with this. The trackies section for one is a very serious sub-forum where the people are all very friendly and are willing to offer advice to new comers. We all get along well, even though we are probably some of the most competitive people on here. Dunno if it is the same for the polo forums.

The other stuff, if you don't like it, you can put on ignore like I have done.
Maybe there should be a new sub forum where people can only join if they are not going to flame new comers as a rule. I'm not going to start it though :)

Thinking about it I have changed my position on rep. It is clear that if we still had it Balki would be top of the pile because, inexplicably I think, people seem to like his home-grown brand of whimsy and his penchant for cake-based hilarity. Now, it's not to my taste and who am I to tell members that they have misjudged the whey-faced dog fondler, but I still wouldn't be comfortable having him as our leading light. For one thing the only time I have ever heard Balki talk about bikes was when he said my saddle reminded him of a tarte tatin that he once ate in a Turkish bath. "Fucken steamy" were his exact words. So, just to be on the safe side, I have concluded that bringing back rep would be a bad thing after all.
Thinking about it a bit more the chances are that by now, had we still got rep, Clive's arse on its own would have four green squares. Surely that is not something this forum, or any forum, even an arse-based forum devoted entirely to arses, would be proud of?

i am here, im not sleeping on this. I have been working all day and havent had time to reply.. Im glad dj shared my email with the forum as i feel the fact that i am the second person to threaten him then really most grown adults would have maybe realised that they should calm down. I truthfully doubt that he would dare speak to my face the way he does on here. I think everyone knows arguing on the internet is about as pointless as a one legged man entering an ass kicking contest... I have a good sense of humor and can take as much as i give. But there is a line and i think dj stepped way over it and showed everyone how mature he is by putting up the email from myself. Im done with this forum for the time being as it seems most things i say are jumped on by some prick who just wants to make a name for himself while others take the time to be helpfull. I really like coming on here, i find some of the threads funny and others helpfull. I just dont expect or appreciate people calling me names and being prejudice towards the fact im a brumie.
