Do you want a view point from someone outside of the Manchester polotics?
Tough shit, I'm giving you one anyway.
Netto should go. Guaranteed.
They've more than shown their willing to travel to tournaments. Whether as Netto or as individuals (Thinking adam playing in Paris for Apologies Accepted here).
They're allocating 13 spaces on merit of individual players, then throwing open their remaining 14 spaces to a lottery. Half of the community thinks that it's bullshit and should be worked out entirely on merit. The other half, are happy with the lottery.
To paraphrase Hannes, from Karlsruhe, "Some teams should go because they show willing. Something like the Euros should reserve places for the same faces who will travel to every and any tournament. They are polo".
I'm going to disappear from this discussion now but seriously think about it. Aside from being a fun trip this tournament is also about crowning the best players in Europe. I fail to see how you can claim to have sent your best players if you've picked the names out of a hat.
Additionally, there will/should be pickup for the entire weekend. As such those of you who don't place on a team should still go to Geneva because you'll still get to enjoy the trip and you'll still get to play some decent polo.

The rest of you should really work out who wants to travel to Genevé and make a team up from that as the best players, not the luckiest picked from a hat players.
The US are having the exact same discussion with relation to the worlds right now.
