    Glad to see that architect has such good spacial awareness
    I've seen a couple of articles on that story, all of them awful.

    For example:
    "The area reserved for pedal-powered transport measures 6.5ft (2m) wide, leaving just 4.5ft (1.4m) for cars, lorries and buses to squeeze through."
    The area reserved for bikes? have you looked at the photo you have used to illustrate the article? It's not a solid line, idiot, all vehicles are allowed to cross it.

    Then you get someone from the AA (because they know about the roads) giving a really incredibly ignorant quote. Depressing.
