A thought from a new guy, and one not staying (and suddenly quite sad about it), last nights knock about reminded me of why I started (and kept) playing - the sheer pleasure of it. After the anxiety of the weekend, as awesome as it was mind you, a bit of time just being loose on the court cleared away all the residual negative feelings I had. Jesus I was shitting bricks before every game over the weekend, and the self recriminations and blame that was going through my mind afterwards was poisonous. So it was fantastic to just race about being a dick last night without it meaning anything.
Before everyone gets too caught up in team changes etc, come play some mixed up stupidness, give yourselves time to enjoy yourselves.
