Agricultural and builders merchants. Some of them are brand named, like lee cooper, others are some bizarre names you have never heard of, but the definably feel thicker to the touch and seem to last longer IME. I've got some uniglo jeans and they are defiantly thinner.
I think Lee cooper are good as they have proper ones for the cow boys so are made for tough wear.
