The definitive OTP ( Off-The-Peg ) List (<£500 and <£1,000 sections)

Just wanted to give a short review of the 2010 KHS Flite 100, which I have bought about three months ago:

• very nice frame, nice welds
  
• good geometry throughout
  
• feels quick and responsive without being too harsh to use on the road/commute
  
• eyelets for mudguards & water bottle
  
• really good powder coating
  

• wheels are LB high flange 36 spokes, pretty standard but so far no issues, used throughout winter in all weather

• stripped one thread of the stem = had to buy new one

• drop-out fail: wheel can't be slammed all the way as tire will hit seat tube?!
  -/+ stickers are under clear coat = can't remove them for that ninja look

• 1" steerer on the fork (why not 1 1/8")
