I like some of your Krautrock(!) output, but don't share your optimism/gullibility.
When I say election pledges are an expression of intent, this includes the BS and non-promises which they entail. For example while the Tory manefesto reads in parts like "killing in the name of", it's still essentially the same old Tory guff.
This is present in the other parties too, but there are also clear goals set out which they show clear intent towards, I don't expect they will meet, or even attempt all of them, no government has, but it offers a reasonable means of assessment, within the wider historical context
