  • who knows the biggest tyres you can get on the TRACK blb frame ?and is it a strong frame any one with experiance?

  • you do know blb make a trick frame....and by your questions I'm thinking that you want to use the track frame as a trick bike??

If you're looking for a bike to do tricks on, get a charge scissor. f+f £220
and you don't need to worry about getting the biggest tyres on it.

    dito

  • He did not say anything about tricks though...
    ;)

  • riight... well he could be a complete idiot who what's extra wide wheels to ride purely on the road... Would be super fast ... not.
Why else would you ask if it's is a. strong b. wide enough to fit big jump cushioning wheels.
maybe I'm just getting the wrong side of things...
    owned? probably not.

  • Big tyres = comfy but not fast, so what. If you're riding on shit roads with cobbles and potholes then the question's legit no?

For the tyre question yes but if you want an unbiast opinion with regard to the strength of the frame I don't think this is the right answer.

  • you can fit 700x42+ on the rear easy. i've used one with a handsome dog fork, for past year, bashed it playing polo and ridden daily. barspins as well. actually not bad for the price, held up to a lot of abuse.

I was saying that because if you look at link posted above the one where I said "owned' he is clearly shown the thread where this has and is still being discussed but chose to create a whole new one.

  • I tried to buy this frame from from them over the phone, i told them i normally rode a 52 x 52. They told me i should come into the shop and try what they had in stock. I explained that I lived in Aberdeen, they still insisted i had to come into the shop. I ended up getting a Bob Jackson from putney cycles 20" x 20", fitted headset, £330 including postage. The guy I spoke to came over as a total joker.

  • ^WTF is that!?

  • Haha its a fucking abomination, snowflakes just for starters! The frame / forks look alright though (531???), £280 if my memory serves me correct.

For being such an "in" store I'm struggling to pick a bike from their gallery that is actually nice. IMO most are totally anti http://bricklanebikes.co.uk/gallery/

We won't offer frame sizing advise by phone or email.
Its proved time and time again not to be worth it.

If you tell us what size you want we are happy to sell it to you, but we can't take the responsibility for telling you the size. If we do, we are just guessing, and if we guess wrong and you build it and find its the wrong size its suddenly all our fault and you want to return it having been built and probably chipped. So we just don't do it any more.

Its a store policy I whole heartedly endorse. Its to everyone's benefit really.

    Very reasonable approach...

  • I asked for a 52 x 52 frame and they refused to sell it to me. Lost sale - end of.

The guy on the phone couldn't seem to comprehend how far away aberdeen was, and when I told him it was over 600 miles away he suggested I fly down to see it.

    Totally reasonable.

  • blbs trick frame looks exactly the same as there track frame exept the forks does any one know if the frames are the same?

  • Fuck off.

  • thanks any one actualy know?

  • just ring them up!
    they are obviously different
stop making threads with stupid questions on a decidedly avergae frame!
