  • Scott, you decided on your route back yet?

  • I hop you mean you're riding there and back and there again before you camp.
Anything else is makes a mockery of your previous efforts.

  • I can recommend pushing down the coast and picking up the Felixstowe - Bawdsey Ferry and the Harwich Harbour Ferry. Costs a little bit for them (HH is £5.50 ea including bike FB much less) but really enjoyable.

  • Oof. Got a wedding invite this week from a good friend. On the 25th! Looks like I'm out and my DD hopes have been dashed again. So that makes 1 less on the LFGSS coach poll.

  • Kidnap the bride and hold hostage until after the ride?

  • Persuade them to hold the wedding on a lovely beach at 7am followed by a wedding meal of full English with double beans.

    +1.

    Solution.

  • Thanks for the reminder. Sadly, We're out :-( DD falls smack in middle of our holidays where we'll (hopefully) be touring in France!

    Vegan?

  • Vegan?

No thanks, I've just put one out.

  • Your solutions, though clever, would be looked at as absurd by those involved. I came up with a great solution that I thought would work perfect. I do the ride and make it back in time for the wedding! What could possibly go wrong?

Would you believe this solution was received like I was asking them to move the wedding to the beach?!

  • I would also recommend doing it without a tent, sleeping bags, sleeping mats, air pillows and cooking equipment. :I

    1. Clever Pun (on a brompton no coach required)

I'll also be on my Bromie. I thought this was just the queue for the bus so I trundled on by.

dude, it's another shit pebbley beach with a nuclear power station round the corner

Dude it's the end of the Dunwich Dynamo, on of the greatest rides of all time. Get some perspective here.

  • Walberswick is only a little way up the coast..

Not entirely pebbly there and plenty more pubs!

  • but closer to the nuclear power station.

  • i'm confused.
southwold is further north than wolberswick.

    sizewell is south of wolberswick?

  • Yeah. Walberswick is north of Dunwich which is north of Sizewell.

  • and Southwold is further north than all of those.

  • i'm being thick. ignore me.

  • but closer to the nuclear power station.

... and in addition to the logic fail, HTFU. :)
