i really loved it. I also think that starting at CP was great. most of the stuff is always east related. it gets a bit boring
-
• #128
Yeah, I appreciated the South start and East bits as being a westie I'd never normally venture to either without some kind of armed escort... ;)

Fantasic day!
Well done to all involved. Really good effort.
Good to see and ride with everyone today.
I should be able to grab some signage in the South London area...

highly enjoyable run! pleased i made the last minute decision to do it

Good ride, will be using some of those hills for training. Organisers should pat themselves on the back. Next year you should definitely swap the Woolwich crossing for a bridge crossing as not to interupt the ride too much. You could also time it then for those that are interested.
Cancellara? Now that was a ride!

Great ride yesterday. Really enjoyed the cobbles in Stepney Green, some of the others were harsh. It was close to impossible changing gears when on the cobbles, can't imagine what it must be like with down tube shifters.
Tika, I still have your water bottle, will get it to you sometime or other.

what a ride yesterday.
good weather and a great route.
had a lot of fun touring round london and seeing some sights i've not seen before.
thank you to the organisers, i'm in for next year. -

Really good day/ride - was nice to have a beer in my hand at the finish at a time when I'd usually still be in bed.
I'm not sure if there is a part of me that doesn't ache this morning - those cobbles did the trick.A guy from Dulwich Paragon who was riding with us had his front wheel sheer off his hub around Wapping way - still managed to finish!
Well organised - well signed - was just a shame that the ferry was not running when we got there - was looking forward to that - so had to make do with the foot tunnel.
I'm in for next year...

Thanks for all from here who took part - its not a ride until people show up and throw in their lot - which you did. It was the first year and I think we got more right than we got wrong. Great to meet hippy and joe smith and Diggers' enthusiasm is always appreciated. Nhatt was vital in helping put up the signs, putting 146 signs up by yourself on a saturday night ain't easy on the soul or the body. If anyone can help take a few down, particularly in E1 and E2 that'd be great. I think we did well on the donations front and hope to have a grand total on the website by the end of the week...but it was a buzz just to meet so many top people and have a beer and a laugh in a pub with P-R on the big screen.
Work starts on TLC 2011 here.

Forgot to say - not much enthusiasm from me to move TLC from its South London moorings, we have great support from a South London venue, South London press and a South London bike shop and cycling club - why would we want to give that up? Besides, many folk said the SE London Alps were the best bit.

Don't judge me hippy, I had to get up Canonbie Rd somehow. We can't all be mountain goats such as yourself.

... If anyone can help take a few down, particularly in E1 and E2 that'd be great.......
Had some time to kill last night - so E2 is now sign free....
Hippy, I didn't do much but supply moral support, but I'm going to try and get my hands a bit dirtier with it next year, it seems like such a worthwhile event.
If Dave does let me get involved again next year, maybe we could do a bit of a group effort for sign posting, that was the hardest but most worthwhile part. Also, if you are poodling around and you see any signs in the next few days, can you take them down? I will happily try and collect them from you.
I love the cobbles in Stepney Green area, and that huge alley that runs through Buckfast street.
There is some noise to move the start to Shoreditch next year...but I think that without the big Crystal finish you wouldn't actually have earned your pint.
