what, what! i've just woken up from a 12 hour marathon of sleep.
thank you everyone for an absolutely spiffing day yesterday. lovely to see so many smiling faces. thanks especially to those that came from the colonies and the outer reaches of europe. hope you had a marvelous day.
and an enormous thanks and debt of gratitude to our wonderful marshalls and volunteers, who absolutely made the day. the apparent easiness of yesterday's festivities is entirely down to you, so caps off!
doff of the cap also to all of our wonderful sponsors without whom the day would not have happened. i trust you had a good day as well.
special thanks to mr b the gentleman rhymmer, top shelf jazz, and dj tom kerwin for the floor fillers... and of course the incredible team of swing dancers for filling the floor!
a high-caloric thank you to the multitudes who baked cakes and cookies for our bake sale — especially for bam for organising that.
we raised well over £1000 for bikes for africa, which is enough to refurbish and send an entire shipping container of bicycles to africa! i'll post the final amount once all the counting and tallying's been done, but well done, chaps!
