  • I'm all excited about this now! See you all soon.

  • remember locks and tools, chaps.

  • Thanks Chaps

  • daymmnn hangover, but excitement!

  • got it.

  • What's the etiquette regarding spectating?

I wouldn't mind seeing you lot go past, but on the other hand I don't want to cause teddy any problems (i realise free world... stand where i want... blah blah blah).

Are you heading east at any point on the ride? Whenish and where?

  • remember locks and tools, chaps.

Will the bikes be locked unattended at some point?

I'm bringing locks but didn't intend to leave sight of the bike for more than a few moments.

  • On a train: dressed in tweed: listening to Slayer!

  • Is the route up anywhere? if not can you recommend spectating spots? Preferably near south Kensington, thanks

Easiest place would be in Kensington Gardens near Round Pond. About 1.30 I would estimate. Shouldn't be any problems spectating there.

    Not really going East.

  • Nice one sounds like a good spot thanks

  • what a beautiful day for a tweed ride see you all soon x

  • Tweeded up... damn it's hot. I hope the weather eases of, I'm about to melt before leaving.

It will make for good photos though (the light, not the melting).

  • Such a lovely day and i'm bursting with exciting. I think i'm allergic to tweed though, i haven't stopped sneezing since i put my jacket on achoo.

  • Where is the start point???

  • Anyone! I've lost my pack, and I have no idea where it starts!!!

  • a lot of people are asking if it’s alright to show up and ride even if they’re not registered. unfortunately, the answer is no. it took us months of negotiation and compromise with the police, transport for london and the local boroughs to get our licenses and permits, and unfortunately the event is capped at 400 participants. we risk fines and closure if our numbers go above that. if you didn’t manage to register, you won’t be able to take part in the ride this year. terribly sorry about that. do cheer us on from the pavement though!

    meh.

Anyone! I've lost my pack, and I have no idea where it starts!!!

DON’T FORGET TO COLLECT YOUR REGISTRATION PACKS BY FRIDAY!

You won’t be able to ride in the event without them.

  • I'm registered! I'm also fully dressed in Tweed. I have my armband, and my bike number. But not an address!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!111

  • Riding in to work saw a merry bunch dressed in tweed heading the other way :( one on a penny farthing, also seen about a dozen few head past Oxford Circus from my desk.

Looking forward to see the pictures!

    Enjoy

  • Sorted, panic overted.

  • ... Remember to adjust your venting to allow air to circulate.

    phew!

  • Well I'm heading out again, pashley broke its chain and I went for a trip. Have torn a set of breekes, sunglasses and gloves. Am gutted but glad it was a ladies bike.

Well changed to road bike and another outfit. See you all at the end.

  • brilliant! an amazing day, many thanks to teddy and everyone involved, a splendid day despite the ruffian who kicked my bike and threw chocolate milkshake over my shirt. rotter.
bed now I think. the gin and snuff have gone to my head!
