Six months for me, had not thought that quitting had made much difference but in a (not racing at all, honest) sprint this morning I reallised that I could go much deeper into oxygen debt than I used, and my chest did not hurt like hell after a hard sprint.
Also I don't need to pop outside every 15 minutes anymore, which is nice.
