Not at all irrelevant. How do you know that wasn't her motive for goading the police, y'know, in the back of her mind she knew she could sell her story and make a few quid. So her reasoning for being so aggressive (that she was protecting her friend, or whatever) would have come under more scrutiny. The fact that she didn't even turn up to court speaks volumes. So no, not irrelevant. (How's that? Any good?)

What I was saying yesterday:

....It doesnt matter now if everyone starts goading police trying to get themselves into a situation like the Brighton lady, the police are trained not to lash out and become the type of people theyre there to put away in the first place. It doesnt matter one bit who the fuck she was or what her intentions were, she still got a kicking from the cops for doing pretty much bugger all.

You probably do deserve to get chinned for goading the police as youre being a tosser but I would still think it totally fucked for the police to actually react to it. Theyre trained to rise above it arent they?
