I only speak German and English well and have a bit of French, plus smatterings of various others (but can't really speak those). And I don't speak Cockney, or know any other accent, for that matter.
(It's not at all unusual for people from Germany to speak several languages--the education system is/used to be (it's being worsened, and I don't really know what things are like today) a lot better than here, and if German is your first language, that also facilitates learning other languages a good deal.)
