I have just encountered the same problem. Looked into seperate cycle insurance - waaay tooo expensive.
Described bike and added to household insurance. SAGA (Can't you tell how old I am?) offered no objections. (Included some modern bikes as well)
The cost was minimal.
Now, the bit that is unknown is their ability to pay up in the event of a claim (My 1952 CB is probably stealable).
How do I test their word / the policy reliability?
So far it only seems in the event of real loss!
