love this thread, skating around on lifestyle aspirations, why people think stuff is cool, not cool,..
Klein wrote about all this shit years ago in "no logo". Several others have done it too way better than I could since.
So far no-one has spoken up for the brand of bikes, but I imagine they are the like of which are ridden about mainly by people with fairly shit bike handling skills, because they just got into 'the scene' with one of these new otps, and didnt ride much if anything with 2 wheels before that.
Mr Smyth raises the most interesting point of the whole thread.
