  • Yeah, they did a song about a shark or something that was good and they did another one where they split the room in half and started a running battle between the two sides. It got bloody. Thing with Thrash/Death gigs in the US is you always get somebody taking it a bit seriously and there was this one guy getting all WWF with his shirt off in the middle of the floor proper punching anybody that got even close to him.

That doesn't happen when Stryper play.

    Florida Death Metal!

  • Tempted to go and see these guys tonight. They kind of dropped the ball after Instinct:Decay though...

  • Go see them!

Saw them play with 1349 and Goat Whore in NYC a few years back. Well worth it.

  • So...

Would be massively interested in the below, if anybody has any thoughts:

Top 5 Metal Albums of all time excluding: 'Reign', 'Ride', 'Master', 'Number' and 'Piece of'...

...so for a lot of people basically the second half of your Top Ten Metal Albums ever.

    Thoughts?

  • Got any linkage for his frames?

oh btw Kiss was fucking awesome

  • Cool!

  • The new Ramesses album has leaked, if anyone's arsed?
It's a little crisper, a little cleaner on the vocals and a bit more... lyric driven, if that makes sense.

The Khali Mist EP they put out last year was GRIM but this album doesn't make me screw-face in the way that did.

Also, not metal per-say, but I was listening to a Zero Kama album my mate recommended to me today and it wigged me the fuck out. It's described as 'ambient ritual', and it seemed all alright, pretty twitchy and voodoo until I discovered that ALL THE INSTRUMENTS WERE MADE OUT OF HUMAN BONES. It really changes your appreciation of a song when you discover shit like that. It's really creeping me out.

  • That Zero Karma shit sounds cool as fuck. I shall be checking this out later, when the clock strikes midnight for added 'spook'.

  • Weedeater are touring next month, oh yes!

14 June - The White Rabbit, Plymouth
15 June - The Well, Leeds
16 June - The Masque, Liverpool
17 June - The Underworld, London

  • Just had a look at their myspace. Nice! Think I may have to go see them.

It's this, not the video that Skunkworks posted. Although that did make me laugh after all my hype. I've been listening to a mix of this and Khlyst (Plotkin post-Kharnate and others) all day and now I feel fucking shaky.

WITH POMBAGIRA TOO IT'S GOING TO BE FUCKING SWEET!

  • Creepy! I love it !

    :-)

Having just gone from Aphex Twin to that.... I feel slightly posessed now....

  • Human bones mate. Human bones.

  • WITH POMBAGIRA TOO IT'S GOING TO BE FUCKING SWEET!

Fuck yeah! Probably go to the Leeds show so I can actually get home, last train from Liverpool is 11:30 back to Manchester, fucking sucks. Downloaded (stole) the new Ramesses album last week but haven't got round to listening to it yet. Plan for tonight.

  • Yeah I'm on for that gig. Me and a few friends are probably going to head down too Leeds and then get the last train back unless I can convince some Leeds buddies to put me up for the night.

What'd you think of the new Ramesses album then P.A.T?

I'm also giving the new Melvins album the once-through right now, and it's pretttttty fucking odd. I think they've been hanging around with Jello Biafra too much, it's starting to show.

  • Nothing special, not as good as the last one.

Saw Melvins in December, it was fucking epic.

  • Anyone going to Mouth Of The Architect on Wednesday?

I got my actual copy delivered the other day, not had time to give it multiple listens yet, the artwork is the shit

Black Cobra and Saviours (Pombagira included)

I'll be at Hellfest for the London gig, they're all playing there so it's ok. That is an amazing line up

    Fucking love weedeater.

  • Fucking love weedeater.

One of the members blew a few toes of with a shotgun recently, they had to cancel a couple of tour dates.

Day to day life of a southern stoner band...

Speaking of southern stoner, has anyone watched 'Such Hawks, Such Hounds' before? Here is a tiny edit, but I've got the whole thing, which is about 90 minutes. It's interesting and almost cringy funny in parts. Really recommended.

Also, I'm waiting for this too come out, it looks rawwwww.

And I've got my tickets to the Manchester screening of Until The Light Takes Us, a black metal documentary. You got tickets yet Art Prole Threat? I think it's close to selling out. Islington Mill later this month.

  • Thought they were doing three screenings or summit? I'm pretty busy end of next week, got an exhibition to prepare for so will make a last minute decision if it doesn't sell out, its only round the corner from me anyway.

Those looks pretty interesting. Guess you can get them on DVD in the near future?

  • I don't think Slow Southern Steel is out yet, it's not even had a release I don't think.

I've got a copy of Such Hawks, Such Hounds though, I'll send you a link if you'd like?
