the interesting thing is, you have misinterpreted tesla's claims to free energy. he didn't claim to invent a machine that could create energy from nothing. he claimed to invent a machine that could capture solar and cosmic radiation and convert it to electrical energy. and it didn't work.

I'm not sure if it's worth pointing out that the ambiguity of the word 'free' in English is a frequent cause of confusion. I don't know which language Tesla used when outlining his claims, but I doubt very much that his primary intended meaning was 'free' as in money. The German link I posted earlier uses "frei" as in 'non-captured', but I suppose this may in itself have been translated from English. Sorry, this is a very simple-minded point.

I'm sure that Wingedangel didn't mean that she thinks he could create energy from nothing, though.
