The wires in your house do not constitute a faraday cage, if they did then portable radios & TVs would only work outside. AC at 440Hz is just as deadly as AC at 50 Hz, it is the current not the frequency that makes electricity dangerous to living things. I know these things to be true, not because I am "living under the yoke" but because I have a degree in Electrical Engineering, which means I spent at least one afternoon a week for three years in a lab observing this stuff for myself. No one for the government intervened to stop me for discovering the truth.
