There ain't nothing wrong with riding a create. i do. its awesome. though the above is Also correct. tighten everything. Also change the headset. and the tires. and change the handlebars. they make it look very createish. and i snapped the chain that came with it. and the forks. and the cranks creek like a mother lover. and don't ride the saddle with black jeans. i have a red triangle on my crotch now. but other than that its all good. but i will get rid of it soon as i'm able

so from the above list, what do you like about your create (clearly its a bike so gets from a to b)
-
• #1105
Urmm the design is super cool. i covered the create sign in awesome tape. but mostly the fact its a fixed gear bike. you loves my create james

....... its awesome. though the above is Also correct. tighten everything. Also change the headset. and the tires. and change the handlebars........................and and and and ...
and and and and and....we have said all this before...though please, pretty please read this opus to the bottom, and take heed of what everyone else has said.
if you had that same 200 quid...and had the chance to buy a bike from the forum, that you didn't then have to spend money on a bottom bracket, tyres, chain, bearings, wheels, handle bars, stem, headset, saddle, rim tape, cranks, chain ring, .....have I forgotten anything?
So, that makes about £300...and then looking at what you could buy from this site...that was well built, not extremely heavy, didn't creak like a fiddlers elbow, didn't keep breaking down on you, didn't make you look like you had just spent the best part of 300 holes on something terrible, something you didn't have to cover the name up!!!!would you still recommend anyone to buy one?
that Crumb, is the question?
why buy something you have to hide the damned name on? it's the very antithesis of proudly polishing your bike...it's blamming loads of stickers on it so no one knows you have been duped.
what i find disappointing is that you can get a LOT of bike for 300 quid, you really can.
and one that you will gladly tell people what it is...ie it's a ...... he beamed.
and not ahh, yes...I broke my arse when the front wheel folded on me, very close to killing me if it was slightly further down the road as I would have been under a lorry.
The major factor is they look 'safe' and new and, well... they just aren't, we have all ridden bikes in various states of disrepair, however you know that they are a little dodgy and ride accordingly..ie brake sooner, lean less hard...etc etc etc...
and these bikes lull you into a false sense of security, meaning you are putting yourself in far more danger.
I don't want to sound like an old lady, however I have only ever seen 2 near fatalities in my life and don't ever want to see another. You would be amazed at just how much damage a slow moving bus can do, 20 tonnes of steel clipping your head...bingo..you are fucked...
Crumb, please be careful, check and recheck and either replace everything or sell the fucking thing.
They are fucking death traps.

for £300...this http://www.lfgss.com/thread39160.html#post1274377
you see....
that is just what we are on about.
it won't fail you when you need it most, ie when a lorry is bearing down on you round an island and your pedal snaps, or the handle bars come off in your hand.

I love awesome tape.
It's the second best kind of tape in the world. -

this ...
is £275...
this is also £275...
I will keep posting these until you admit your bike is a death trap. Life is full of lessons...some of them are hard, and fucking hurt, though hurting is better than getting crushed under a lorry.

The way it looks and all the components and the frame and your face.

Sorry, just to clarify they were meant as examples...I wasn't aware if they had sold already.

I only paid £300 for a barely used Charge Plug, such a better bike I love the thing. Completely rode to death and it's my go to bike whenever I go out now. I've fitted drop bars and levers now it is almost the perfect bike.

good god no! but being a poor student, ill take what im given.and i wouldnt be able to afford to maintain it without this forum, as i can get cheap parts to replace the create ones
but i would in no way recommend this to anyone. unless your looking for a cheap runabout just while you wait to get a good bike, as i cant not have a bike, even for a week, but soon as i save enough im having a create BBQ. or im giving it to someone i dont like -
• #1118
I was tempted by the Create bikes, just because they were so cheap, but luckily I Googled 'Create bikes' and found THE TRUTH. Now I'm on the hunt for an old, but reliable, beater.

I spent £180 on my trek soho from here, polo bike, but also my commuter bike has done circa 3,600 commuter miles in six months, plus a bunch more cycling in cycles chasing a little ball...

there not that bad once you've changed alot of the components,
your basically just paying for a heavy frame
ive had one for about 8 months and id say its been off the road for about half the time- bottom bracket f*cked up
- needed new tyres
- rear hub f*cked
- front wheel f*cked which CREATEd a puncture and a huge whole in the tyre
- shit hard plastic grips in the rain = face on the floor!!
- had to change pedals
- just noticed my crank is making a funny creeking noise when i pedal hard on one side
but once all that shit was changed its an enjoyable exprience to ride and its my first fixed which i naively ought without researching.
but it is fast, more fun than a mountain bike, now all that stuff has been changed it is reliable and easy to maintain(which means tightening everything up)
- bottom bracket f*cked up

Dude, when you get a new frame, youll find it a whole lot more fun! Itll be faster, and lighter and stiffer and more reliable in your mind

But why would you want to suffer all that shite and further expense?? Get it right first time and save all the hassle

new chain and take up bike polo! I hear they have a good weight in them, ploughs right through the offence.
